Belmont is known as "The Town of Homes" in acknowledgment of the predominance of residential property. Belmont real estate varies in style, size and stature. Belmont is one of the few MA suburbs with a commuter rail which both passes through the center of town and connects to the Red Line subway. The Underwood Pool, a community facility, is a convenient place to relax and cool off in the warm summer months.
On-street overnight parking is prohibited in the town of Belmont.
